Bush Nippers – April 2023

2022 is flying by, Our term 3 swimming begins Monday 18th July. After missing so much swimming in 2020/2021 its great to see so many students enrolled in learn to swim each term.

Swimming really is a vital skill that all children should learn and continuing your child’s lessons through the cooler months ensures that children get every chance to practice and master these important skills.  As well as skill building swimming is excellent exercise for older children and has so many developmental and social benefits for infants.

The cooler months are the ideal time to prepare for summer water activities things such as discuss water safety with children (all the different kinds of dangers, the river, the ocean, pools and boating all have different dangers and it is a good idea to discuss them all with children.), conduct pool maintenance and safety checks on home pools, ensure children have a proper fitting lifejacket available for summer activities. We all have the same goal and that is for the children to enjoy water activities as safely as possible.
